Hey All, Sorry if this has been posted already. Have you read this? I can't stop thinking about it, I'm not sure if that is good or bad. (Laughing Out Loud). I saw it on Moparts.com. Using Tremclad enamel paint and a sponge roller plus mineral spirits to paint your car. board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=2331682&page=0&fpart=1&vc=1Also mentions using Rustoleum paint along with other people's ideas.

Interesting to say the least but I would almost have to see it to believe it. I would be very hesitant to bet on this paint job standing the test of time.

At least it's only a 2nd gen. What exactly is Tremclad?

At least it's only a 2nd gen. What exactly is Tremclad? It's paint that's available in Canada, I believe Rustoleum is the US equivalent, though apparently not exactly the same. "TREMCLAD Rust Paint provides superior rust inhibition, and is specially formulated to penetrate rust and bind to metal. Excellent rust coverage - designed for direct applicaiton to metal; primer not required on most applications"

I believe we have chatted before about this...DONT DO IT...Tremclad or any other oil based paint is barely good enough for painting small chassis parts etc.....it certainly is not good enough for the body........it will fade in the sunlight...it does not toughen up like 2 part paints....and it does no way shine like a half decent paint job......I do not like tremclad/rustoleum for other then painting lawn furniture......Just imagine how tough it would be to repaint that car...all would have to be removed before repainting with decent material..... In my opinion he ruined that car!

Oh and btw I would rather take my chances spraying normal $300 paint my self and see how that comes out before I'm going to waste time on my bodywork using Rustoleum
