It was more like 2 or 3 weeks - let me look....He shot a "PAID"
invoice back on Feb 2nd. I use USPS money Orders on internet
purchases like this - so I slowed myself down by a week before
that. Looks like it took roughly 3 weeks. As for shipping? I didn't
list it cause it's an actual cost that varies. He is closer to you than
me Jer. The group price went down between my "I will" & his
phonecall - more people got in on the deal than he had calculated
the offer for. Add that to my list of reasons for calling him on the up
n up.
Sure, there is a $50 core I'll be collecting when I'm good n ready to
return my original. (Probably 2 weeks Nick)
As for the discrepancy on core charges: I can only say that typically
Vendors change their policy as needed to help themselves have
something to work with. It's just so they can stay afloat. Without
cores: there is no product to sell.
My dash restoration thread question alluded to presenting a step
by step guide from removing it to disassembly to paint & cluster
restoration. I do get the humor in your point there Jer ;D ;D
but slapping a new pad on this dash & calling it good is like putting
a pearl necklace on a pig & this dash is a P-I-G pig. Take a look:
Missing screws, missing bolts, vandalized cluster, vents all need
help or replacement. Even the rear defrost switch plate is broken.
My curiosity in asking "Would anybody here benefit from or be interested in a complete dash restoration thread?" Ah screw it! I'll
keep you guys updated. I already have questions anyway!
Since this the dashpad recon thread....I'll save dash resto &
questions for another thread
