Looky what came in today! Got my dash assembly out this past weekend. After a 12 hour day at work today, I think my core will have to wait till tomorrow for removal. I am excited about restoring my dash though I blame this site Hotrodder & Jer for my inspiration

Is it my depth perception or do I actually see a 71/72 Charger parked next to a gigantic beer can?

Not enough info, Brock! Did you order it through Ultimate Rides? How much did you pay for it, plus shipping? Was this part of that Moparts/DC group buy? Is it a fiberglass frame or steel frame? What was the waiting time from the day you ordered it? Warranty? Refund Policy? See, this is why all of you guys get away with short posts, and I let you get away with calling mine long....because mine have all the information an inquiring mind would need...plus a little more. I gotta go now Brock, I printed your pics and I'm starting to (I noticed the Charger spun a Victory Circle brodie in between pics!)

Well Jer, I had heard of your tour to a place that does dashes & of how you liked what you saw. I, of course (Murphy's Law) had all ready gotten in on the DodgeChargerForum group buy. So, like many many of us, I had to take a wait n see what my best move could or should have been. It could very well turn out that I paid alot more than I should have or possibly could have. I can say that as for mounting stuff like the Cluster & the right side insert: there are no holes in the new vinyl. So, here is my plan Jer & my other fellow site members: 1) remove existing stock dashpad. dash assembly is on the workbench & waiting. 2) picture original & refurb together for all to see. 3) remove bubble wrap from box advertisement so it is readable. 4) share price index - single & group buy $ All I can allow at the moment is that this is an original steel core. The foam & cover have been completely replaced & plyabilty is impresive. I have zero doubts about Nick standing behind the product - we talked for an hour on his dime & he was clear to get return needs in motion ASAP. Yes! The modelcar did spin

Yeah I really need to go; but since you mentioned thumper: I gotta say it's hard to type plyability when playability is everthing Goodnight

As promised: A comparison of my original dashpad to my newly restored replacement. Plyabilty & fit are great. Looks are nice, even if not as crisp around the passenger insert as the original. got it for $425 after a $57 group buy discount from www.nicksclassicparts.comHows it look & compare to the others? Price? Would anybody here benefit from or be interested in a complete dash restoration thread? This is gonna be fun ;D

Brock, This IS a dash restoration thread That is a great price....Just Dashes is at 650 with 6 week waiting time, which I assume is way longer than your group buy. One of the things that made me raise and eyebrow while reading all the threads and Posts on both of the other sites, was that they wanted something like 130 dollars for a core charge, if you didn't have one to send them, BUT...they were willing to buy any and all "extra" cores from people and would only pay 35 dollars for them...(I might be off a dollar or two on the amounts) That just sounded a little strange to me, and really didn't contribute much towards leaving me with a good impression of them. That's just my 2 cents of input,...like I said, that's a good price, both for the dash and the shipping, and I'll bet your wait time wasn't 6 weeks, either. Great pics too, Brock. Jer~
