I only have one Charger. VIN # says 72 SE, but I've tried to get it to look like a R/T. SE's are not bad looking I just like R/T's & Bees more. Since my car is far from original, Why not customize to my personal liking? If it would have been original I would have kept it that way, but if someone wanted an even trade for a 71 Bee or R/T. Come on!!! Who wouldn't trade a common 72se for one?

It's your thang: Do whatcha wanna do As for me? Original & common: see above! Original & rare? Have a heart: preserve those parts. I too plan to incorporate 71 R/T parts into my 72 SE. I'm leaning toward a shiny black car & top with chrome mouldings intact. I want the louvered hood & doors for sure ;D I only have one Charger. I always wanted the Ralley and RT look on my old SE I had when I was a kid. Nice hood air grabber prefrably Ralley door's and the Rally tail light's of course the wing and the front spoiler. I have still been kicking the idea around for my new car as its all bolt on stuff and easy to revers the mods but for now I am going to be content just to get it fixed up and painted so it will be back on the road.

They were on my first 72 they didnt work on that car never did fix them either they were like a brush that would wipe the head lights while you drove. Back then if it didnt make the car quiker or faster I didnt care about it. Now looking back boy do I wish I had that car back. I sold it with a blown 440 for $400 because I had to move to CO. Thing is I had a built ready to go fresh hi po bad to the bone compleet 440 Six pack engine too drop in it at the time thats somthing else I wish I had back. ah well wish in one hand poop in the other

I have a picture, but no scanner, but my car all through high school was a 72 SE 400-2, auto, black on tan, black vinyl. After smacking it up, I added 72 Rallye doors and tailights and a 74 bulge hood and painted her black again. Had boots on the back with slot mags. With the hidaways, that car looked tough and sweet! Cops pulled me over all the time, just because...
I've owned lots of Mopars, but it was with that car, I drove the fastest I've ever driven. I had her up to 150 MPH (between Edmonton and Calgary) with bald slicks on the back! Gets scary at that speed, especially with an old Mopar that doesn't handle or brake worth a crap.
My favourite Charger is the 72 Rallye, but I do like 72 SE's. I personally love the 'one year only' quarter window, I think it looks great. I actually don't like the 71-72 'triangle' quarter window, but, what do you do?
Glad you're loving your SE's. They are way cooler than 71 SE's IMHO. I'd buy another one....
