Went back to the JY that I found a 400 4 bbl 73 SE at last week and finished getting what I wanted off of the car. Last week the car was sitting on the ground with 4 flat tires. I could see that it had an 8 3/4 but was not able to check and see if it was a sure grip chunk or not. This week the car had been properly set, so parts can be removed...and lo and behold, that sucker DID have a sure grip in it. I was ecstatic to say the least. My friend Mike and I spent about 4.5 hours pulling parts off of the car. There is not much good left now. I would have liked to cut out the trunk and pass rear floor board but we did not have the time or tools. In addition to the rear end, I picked up the Heat/AC box, AC lines, front filler trim, exhaust and intake manifolds, front&rear window trim, front eyebrow moldings, brackets for the buddy seat I got last week, hood hinges (they are different than 71-72) decklid trim, front of hood trim. rear of hood and fender trim, inner fender access covers, front bumper guards, wiring for the cruise unit I got last week, and the front valance. I did take a Camera and took a few pics. The yard is a high volume, quick turn over joint. Not a lot of Mopars but there are a few. In addition to the Charger..there is a 71 Fury, 72 Newport, 74 Duster, 64? valiant, and another one that I dont remember. Anyway here is a few pics.

All in all it was a very good day. Out of bed at 5:15, on the road at 6 AM. By 10 AM or so it was getting hot. I believe it was 90 degrees by the time we left. I paid Mike $100 for his help. There is no way my shoulders could stand taking the 8 nuts of the rear end u bolts. If you never have tried to do that.....believe me its a job. They tend to get hot and harder to turn as you go. There was no tag on the rear, I pretty much assume that it probably has 3.23 gears.

Nice score. Would you be interested in removing the passenger side rear floor pan and then selling it to me, if you don't need it?

Nice score. Would you be interested in removing the passenger side rear floor pan and then selling it to me, if you don't need it? I was thinking about your need for the rear pan when I was there. I don`t need it. It was my intent to get it but we ran out of time. Being that it was Mothers Day, I did have other obligations to attend to. Unfortunately, the yard is a 2 hour drive from my house. If the pan is still in the car on my next trip there, I will get it for you and sell it to you at a very good price. The pan is dented up from the bottom (probably from a fork lift) but is very solid. I don`t anticipate going back down there for at least 3-4 weeks.
