Seems like I recall Tom having some information and/or history on the makers of this louver, Brock. I could be wrong, but that's what my brain cylinders are telling me, anyway.
I moved this from Online Stores because this is a temporary Ebay link that really doesn't have a history of being a permanent and helpful source/store, like that other section was designed for.
It will, however, be right here in Paint, Body, & Trim for that restorer/Modder looking for that elusive Rear Window Louver!! #2Thumbs#

They have been listing them on eBay for quite some time. I have been keeping track of them since Feb-2007 when they were listed for $1450. Then in Jun-07 they dropped to $1400; down to $1350 in Jul-Oct and then to $1250 in Nov-07. Finally, a set sold on 20-Dec-07 for $1250. In Feb-08 the price went up to $1275 and another set sold on 24-Feb. Then, on Mar-18 they re-listed for $1499 and someone bought a set They've been relisting at $1499 ever since... I emailed a while back asking why these were so expensive and I got some lame excuse about the molds being so expensive. Give me a break, you're certainly not going to recover your tooling costs by pricing items out of reach of most of us. Price'em to move and make it up in volume... Anyway, the First Place Auto guys were suppose to have theirs ready by now but I'm not sure what happened to their project... I just emailed them... I'll let you know if I hear back from them.

I may be mistaken but I think Tom paid between 5 and 700 bucks. $350 or $375 shipped is what I paid for mine. The ones I bought are TIG welded aluminum and are not in any way to be confused with a reproduction of an OEM part. The high dollar ones are supposed to be an exact type reproduction. I guess if you have a original 71 440 6bbl or Hemi car which is missing original louvers, the expensive ones are worth looking into.
