I have been using premium grade fuel in my previous antique car. Along with a lead additive It had the original , never rebuilt engine that needed lead. Now that I have my charger I've been using premium. I don't know the history of the engine so ill probably use an additive also. What are you using and why?

87 unleaded, no additive. I think in 71 they were made to use unleaded. I have a 1969 F100 that I run 87 octane in, but it's had a rebuild and had hardened valve seats put in the heads.

That's something I have to look into . My car has a 66 block out of a fury and I don't know the history of the engine. I would love to use regular since it cost me over $60 to fill her up . Ouch! That's ok though, it's worth every penny of drive time.

I just went through this with my 73. Chrysler didn't start using hardened seats until 74 (I was told). I use 93 with lead additive in my 67 and I use the stuff (I forget the name) to treat for the corn in the fuel, especially if it sits.

What are you paying these days? 11-12 cents per litre?

well... we got our currency devaluated in feb 9 agains US$ around 50%, from 4.3 Bs x US$1 to 6.3 ( depressing ), so if we think one liter price is 0.97 Bs for 95 unleaded, thats is in US$ 0.15...
one liter is around 1/4 of gal... one gal then US$0.60
and 91 octanes unleaded doesn't reach even 0.80 x liter as far I recall
and thats calculating on official money exchange... black market gets 25 bs by US$1

no, sorry, something is wrong!!! I just fill my tank from allmost totally empty ( maybe 10 or 15 liters left ) with less than 6 Bs... that's less than a Dollar ( official rate )
GOT IT... liter price is 0.097 x 4 = 0.388 by a gal aprox.../ 6.3 = US$0.062 aprox per gall
I was missed one zero

Well I'm about to go to premium. Car is running like crap this year. Swapped out the distributor and can't seem to get it dialed in. Ran the 87 oct I put in a few wks ago out of it tonight. Gonna try some 91 and if it's not any better will put the old dist back in.
