I have been thinking of a new section in the forum, since my computer hard drive failed and I lost all of my reference photos. What about starting a section with reference photos from survivor cars? This would be a great go to when we are restoring our cars. I know I could use it!

That's a great idea. Expect to see it in the near future.

I like it! Should be valuable to me, as my car came in kit form, and I will have LOTS of reassembly questions.

, we shouldn't have responses at all. Keep it strictly as a reference. Just photos with brief descriptions on the year, mileage, what we are looking at, and how we know it's untouched. Closeups would also be great if possible.

I had another thought. I think that the person posting the reference photo should add to the post..."taken by _____ " . These photos will go beyond this forum . Why not give a little credit to the photographer. Sent from my PC36100 using proboards

Hmmm....I guess I'll go with the majority here (like I have a choice!), but I had expected that there WOULD be comments and debate. 1) If an image presented as "correct" is universally agreed upon, then no comment will be necessary. 2) If someone believes something is amiss, then they should be able to say so. The ensuing debate should help settle the matter. Example: I have some photos of unrestored cars, and supposedly "reference" quality restos. But who's to say that's what they really are? I took them at face value, but I'm no expert. 3) If debate cannot settle an issue, (IE: No positive proof one way or another, as we know is often the case with Mopars this vintage), then the points presented should be left there with the photos, for future consideration by those who might use the resource.

Good point DynoDave. If someone knows the reference isn't correct, they should be able to comment. Unless we have owned the car since new, we wouldn't know if someone changed the appearance. I'm not sure the best way to handle this.
