We just passed an old Plymouth station wagon. You just don't see many around anymore. I don't know what model or year but it was the same one dad had when we were young. This one had hide away headlights too. It gave me childhood flashbacks. I would love to score one of those one day. I wanted to snap a picture but the misses had the pedal to the metal. Very cool indeed! My good friend has a 73 Satellite wagon with a 318 and a 3 speed on the tree. A real Brady bunch wagon.

Yes sir, that would be it. I'm not sure the front bumper was the same.

That's very lovely.
I wanted something similar to use every day, or perhaps something slightly later like one of the last Roadmaster wagons. But we ended up with an Explorer instead ...

Yep my Dad had a '72 Fury wagon just like the one pictured w/hidden headlights and the wood grain sides 'cept blue in color. Learned how to drive in that boat! Well I actually learned to drive (stick) when I was 14 in a VW dunebuggy off road but I got all my road practice in the Fury. Used to deliver papers in that thing. After that driving everything else was easy.

My first official driving, even for the license test was a 72 Datsun wagon w/ 4 speed. My first unofficial drive was in a 74 Charger SE 400. I backed it out of the parking spot at school & the tires chirped. I was trying to pull up to the front to pick up the owner. He wasn't there yet, so I made another loop. By that time, he had a baseball bat. He was relieved to see it was me because word was it was stolen. News travels fast in high school. I got a hard scolding - but he let me drive it on purpose a few months later! A freshman in a seniors' ride!!

That is a cool family truckster. I'd drive it. It looked way cooler than the picture shows. Watching it going down the highway was awsome. Sent from my PC36100 using proboards
