Hi,
I've got a 74 charger 5.9 360 with completely flat tires that won't hold air. Front 205/70/14, back 245/70/14 I believe. I just want to know what kind of Wheel n Tires will fit this car? I'm trying to move it and it's hard to with bad tires. Will any 5 lug 14-15 inch wheels n tires fit? Any help much appreciated.

Well, you can't just say "any" 14 or 15" 5 lug. There are different patterns.
GM wheels won't work. Some Ford wheel share the bolt pattern, but the index hole in the center is slightly smaller on a Ford.
In the Mopar 60s/70s/80s RWD car world, there is a good amount of commonality. Some early A bodies used a small 5 lug pattern. These wheels are pretty rare today, and you are not highly likely to stumble on a set by accident. Still, it could happen, so measure carefully. But there is only one large 5 lug bolt pattern for Mopars of this era. Be they 14" or 15" inch, same large pattern. So any wheel from a 60s/70s/80s RWD car, A, B, C, or E body should bolt up.

And if you find a guy with two sets for sale cheap, let me know! I'm in need of a junky set to send to the boneyard on a parts car, so I can save the wheels that are on it.

The bolt pattern is 5 on 4-1/2"....even some older jeep wheels will fit...I know because I just borrowed my two front charger wheels and tires to put on an 85 Postal right hand drive Jeep to move it...then temporarily installed the freshly "re-tired" jeep wheels on the SE to move IT !!
And Dave's absolutely right...be careful....I drove 200 miles to ALMOST BUY a set of wheels and tires that turned out to be 5 on 4....they were from an A body car......FYI, the wheels on a mid 60's Chrysler Imperial are 15's and they are 5 on 4-3/4...don't even ask me how I came to learn that....it was one of those "oops" things best forgotten.
The best and most visually thrilling setups I've seen (in my opinion) on this forum belong to Stuga AND to Uud Luz...
Here's what Stuga sent me, when I asked about his wheels (You'll have to do a search to find the thread where Uud Luz "gave up" his info:
CRAGAR S/S ONE PIECE WHEELS: The fronts are CRR-610C571242 15x7 conical 5-4.5 bolt pattern 4.250 backspace positive 6.00 offset. $145 each Rears are CCR-610C581245 same as above but I believe there 0 offset.$195 each No spacers, no longer wheel studs, no rubbing ( my rear is stock spring hangars) plenty of clearance. The rears had to be shipped from the factory in CA. they're not listed on summits web until you put in the part number, Harvey was a big help at summit The standard unilug only had a weight rating a little over 1560lbs. this new style one piece is weight rated over 1900lbs.
Keep in mind, this info from him is at least 2 years old...maybe older.

Hi 15x10 wheel fans! Here is a little tip before you take those tiny rims off of your charger. YOU MAY NEED DEEPER WHEEL STUDS! That is right. I just tried putting race wheels on mine and the bolts do not even clear the wheel itself. I just ordered extended ones online for 21$ for the rear only. I was so exited and now I am waiting as usual. Took a pic of what it will look like anyways. Enjoy!sorry for your neck cramp. HE HE HE

I just forked over more cash than I wanted to so that I could mount a set of 14 inch aftermarket Mustang wheels on the 72 Charger that I'm hauling East. (Older Mustangs have the same 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern and WILL fit.
However, the wheel studs barely had a thread poking out through the front of the wheel, so I had to by the "extended barrel shank" lug nuts:
What truly bites is they sell them in packs of FOUR, not five, so unless you want to buy a set of wheel locks, which are even more expensive, one ends up buying FIVE packs.
Why would anyone sell in packs of 4, for an application requiring 5 nuts?
And the excuse that most are sold for imports doesn't wash, because imports don't have a 1/2-20 thread, like our cars do...
Fries my taters, it does.
