Hi all,
Just a question that's been bugging me for decades. I had a 73 Charger SE Broham 400 4bbl magnum. Orange-red, white vinyl roof.
The unique thing about this car, it has body matching rear view mirrors, somewhat aerodynamic in shape. I've had a few people insist these were not stock. The original owner insisted they were. I can't recall if they were cable-controlled remote or manual.
Anybody put this one to bed?
128mph max due to slight engine miss.

Our resident expert on 3rd GEN (remote cabled Mopars and otherwise) is Tom, but for my part, I distinctly remember many sets of painted "bullet" styled mirrors being drug home from his latest Junk Yarding foray...
I would assume they were numerous and plentiful, although Tom and probably Nacho can pin it down as to just how "numerous and plentiful" they were.

Chrysler did make body colored side mirror's or you could have the inexpensive painted replacements. I would expect most 73 SE's to come with chrome mirrors, but painted ones don't seem out of the ordinary. We really need a pic to tell you for sure.

Check your fender tag or build sheet. Racing/Painted was G36 and extra on ALL models. Racing/Chrome was G37 also extra on all models.

Thanks so much guys. From the 60's until the muscle car era faded, there wasn't an abundance of cool iron in B.C., at least not in the interior away from the cities. When a high school buddy showed up proudly with an almost new 75 Charger with a 318 and standard transmission, it seemed to underscore the end of a great era.

I have a 71 Super Bee with painted mirrors. The drivers side is remote the passenger is manual. They are E-body mirrors. They were the only ones that fir the mounting holes in the door. The painted B-body mirror I found at the Nats and Carlisle had the mounting screw hole near the end of the pedestal while the E-body one did not.
