I don't know if everyone's on the same forums but I finally was able to get my 1973 Charger 400-4bbl driveable again. I've driven it about 40 miles since I picked it up from the shop. I had to get an intake leak fixed, timing adjusted, master cylinder replaced, steering box replaced, alignment, thermostat, and a new Edelbrock 600 carb. It runs good and has good power but it's still got some little issues. Like the heat always feels like it's on. Now I've had this car been working on and off of it for 10 years money limiting. I took out the a/c plenum box years ago and replaced all the door seals, checked the vacuum motors, and put new evaporator, blower motor, and heater core. I also replaced the heater control valve under the hood with the NOS correct valve. But when you're driving with the blower switch off and the temp selector at coolest, it still feels like the heat is on. What's goin on? I soon want to get the old RV-2 a/c compressor charged up. I replaced everything on the a/c system.

Make sure the heater control valve is working properly. By-pass it and drive it around some and see if there is a difference.

Well, that switch fan blower has no "off". It is always lo, med, or hi. The only way to turn everything off is to move the lever to "off" all the way to the left. With out a hood to cowl seal you will get heat from the engine if you don't have one on there. And as mentioned previously, check the valve. Because it's new doesn't mean its working.
