Looks great! I've always had a soft spot for the Winchester Gray. The first 71 Charger I was around was a 71 500 that a friend of mine parted out for his 72 which was F3 green. For some reason it is a great color for these cars. The gray, I mean. I like the Rallye too.

Hi Folks, Sorry work called me out of town last minute so not much has been done on the car for the last couple weeks. Then I got delayed getting back for two days in Chicago with no bags thanks to the ATC fire. Finally getting home, I took advantage of the warm weather and started the vinyl roof installation with the help of my wife. So far so good, the top is tacked down. She has a keen eye and fixed a number of bubbles I didn't notice, yet alone see! Definitely a two person job especially if like me you've never did this before. I think I will leave this to her to complete. She seems to enjoy it and being a part of it will give her something to talk about at the next car show. Hope to have it done later this week so we can move on to the interior. The color has grown on me, it changes a lot depending on the light. Based on my limited experience it was probably the most popular color for 71 SE's.

While my better half is working the vinyl top. I welded in the brackets for the buddy seat so I can begin the interior work . BIG thanks to 1ol72charger4me for taking some measurements so I could mount it in the proper location. Seat will have to be recovered to match the gunmetal interior to come. As you can tell it's not a nut & bolt resto, but at least its no longer neglected and left to the elements.

Couple more pics.... vinyl top still needs to be finished, getting the glass installed in the doors and working the interior. Should be able to take her for a spin in the next few weeks. It's been a while since it's been on the road.

Outstanding. Is there still some good driving weather left where you are?

It will probably get it out a couple times before winter but once they salt the roads the driving is season is over. Doesn't mean the work stops though! Thats life in the northeast.

It really looks silver/gray in those last pics out in the sun. I noticed when I sprayed my engine bay the new paint looked lighter than the rest of the car then again the rest of the paint is in rough shape.
