As far as the sticky, we probably need the moderators to review entries and adjudicate them before they are posted and given the blessing of this site. (For example, if I think I found the correct color for a part, the moderators would need agree it was valid and not something done by a previous owner), Bob, sorry I didn't really answer your question. I like this stuff, and I have scoured the net for PR shots from back in the day when my other classic cars were introduced. Ive had luck with official press releases, commercials and magazines from the period I'll keep looking for 71-74 Charger stuff!

Both the bars and the bolts on mine were black and they were still original.

This may fall into the category of what each factory was doing at the time. I've only ever seen black bars & black bolts. These would be from St Louis(G).
Whether the bolt was there plugging the hole during body paint (some paint on bolt threads - but clean hole) or the bolt was not there (some paint in hole) the result would be the same. The paint would act as a thread locker. I am not aware of any bolts pre-attached to the unibody prior to paint that did not also include the part that the bolts attached. (Hood, trunk, doors, fenders...)
