Too bad he could not finish his career as a Steeler.

So Tom....how are you feeling about the Steelers draft selections?
I'm pretty darned happy with our draft thus far. You can't get too pumped up about the later round picks, because you never know how they will work out, but still...

I was very happy with the round one pick, Bud Dupree. Round 3 pick was Auburn WR Sammie Coates. I have seen him play and play very well....but he has a rap for drops.
Never heard of the rest of the guys.....but they did draft a couple cornerbacks....which was a position of dire need.

I was sort of the same way. Tomlinson looks like a great addition to our O line. They then added a running back, who has some promise, but a history of fumbles. That was much improved in his senior year from what I read.

Dave, while I am an avid fan of the NFL, I don't get into "scouting the players" thing. So, while I know many of the big names in the draft....I am usually lost after the 2nd round. I go to a privately owned Steelers site regularly. It totally amazes me how many of the people there are draft geeks. They must watch and re-watch college games over and over. They even argue about what undrafted free agents should be signed. Sorry, I just don't have that kind of free time. Even if I did....I'd find something else to do. The Falcons drafted #8 and drafted Vic Beasley. Mike Mayock, on the NFL network, was somewhat surprised that they did not draft Bud Dupree instead. The Steelers got him at #22, which seemed to make it a tremendous value pick. The Steelers probably would have drafted TE Maxx Williams in the 2nd round.....but the Ratbirds (Ravens) traded up, right in front of them...and grabbed him.

The Greatest play in Super Bowl history. I try to watch this at least once a month.

Come on Tom...it's that time of year. Time for a pinned 2015 Football Thread!
Lions first preseason game tonight, against a Geno-less Jets team.
