Im looking buy a pick up coil for my 1971 , 383. Obviously the electronic ignition wa added later. Were they pretty much the same through the 70s ? This is what i have. Sent from my SM-G920P using proboards

all SB and BB electronic ign distributors are the same piece must correct, all SB and BB USE the same pick up coil piece ( not full distribuitor assembly, just in case somebody else missunderstand this LOL )

honestly I got the Eherenbergh ( sp? ) reluctor... and after some checks with my timming lamp finally installed on same stock positions
aaaand I have pinging getting 3500 Rpms ( well I have not driven my car in 2 and a half years )

I did order a new reluctor since classic had them for only $5. Had no idea that it may need to be indexed.

they use to have 2 slots for the pin... one is to spin clockwise ( SB ) the other one CCW ( BB ). Being correctly made by the manufacturer they don't need to be indexed more than that on a stock engine, however sometimes on HiPO or modified engines OR bad quality manufacturer piece, it needs to be checked
