I know this is probably sacrilege but I have to ask being so far from the US. Are other front fenders from say and 70' or 69' charger able to be bolted onto my 71? I am really struggling to find some replacements and they are the biggest repair pieces I need apart from the floor pans.
Don't have a stroke after reading this and any information would be great.
Cheers,
Ben

Cheers, Ben I believe 72 fenders will fit, however you would need to weld in the parking light area metal so you can fit the 71 marker lights in...do u have a rusty pair of 71 fenders to use as donors? ....maybe easier to find a set of 72 fenders if desperate! ...or if u don't care if marker lights match rear quarter panels.... Someone else can weigh in to verify

Fiberglass ones are available I see www.up22.com/charger68.htmAnd lots of patch panels and quarter panels all over the place, but that doesn't do you any good if they are rotted on the top corners as many of them are. Looks as if you already found the fellow on FBBO.

Here is another thought. Try Craig's list. Many folks won't ship but you may get lucky. I use this no quotes - "allintext: 1971 charger fender site:craigslist.org" .... some other folks have another way to search and I'm sure will chime in.

Hi everyone, waiting to hear back from Mopar city but I will get prices for the fibreglass fenders and let you know how I go, another place I found to ship parts to Australia is MyUS.com. www.myus.com. I am looking at doing a bulk by through Summit for a new windscreen, fuel tank and full floor pan. Will let you know how I get on. Cheers,

Just how bad are your current fenders? I am thinking you will be far ahead to deal with what you have, even if it means paying a professional to do their magic. Having shipped items to Australia before, I can't even fathom the cost of shipping 2 fenders there. Wouldn't surprise me if the cost was $1000 or more Heck....the father of one of my sons friend moved to Australia 2 years ago. He wanted my son to ship him his home computer. The cost to do that was going to be around $500 or something ridiculous like that. Used fenders themselves could easily run $400 each. So, it seems to me that if you could repair what you have for less than $1800, you would be ahead. Not a fan of fiberglass products. They too will require a TON of work to fit and finish to an acceptable level. There is a guy on Moparts that ships containers of cars and parts to Australia on a regular basis. His user ID is OzHemi board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/users/16/ozhemi.htmlYou might try to contact him for shipping advice. Actually, I would not be surprised if he was able to both source and ship the fenders you need.
