What's the best looking wheels for a 3rd Gen ??

G'day guys,

whilst looking at Nacho's tail light catalogue that he made for us, I couldn't help but wonder what the best looking wheels are on a 3rd Gen Charger. I currently have the standard Magnum 500's with the dress rim, but I'd like a change.....thinking about the full chrome Magnums personally.

Then I see others with Rallyes, and others with hubcaps, and others with custom wheels......what do you think is the best wheel for a side on profile ?

I like Rallyes and Magnums equally. Hubcaps and custom wheels don't do a thing for me personally.

I like Rallyes a lot. I really don't like the Magnums much on 3rd gen Chargers though.

Aftermarkets wheels, I like Cragar SS and Aluminum slotted wheels the best.

I prefer 15 inch Rallye wheels with 70-71 center caps. Mag 500`s are okay too. I definitely don`t care for the bigger wheel/low profile tire combinations that seem to be popular today. I do like old school Cragar SS wheels on a 3rd Gen Charger, but I would not run them due to the unilug bolt pattern.
Every 3rd Gen that I bought and drove in the 80`s-mid 90`s had aluminum slots on it. At the time I liked the look well enough but got real burnt out on it.
I also do like the aluminum/alloy Mirada/Cordoba wheels (that I just picked up junkyarding) with the exception of the center caps.

Im totaly old skool on this one. Highly polished 15x8 1/2 slots do it for me. They can even make a turd look way kewl.

All good choices. It really depends on the look you're going for. I have Keystone Classics on mine. They're 14" and I'll probably stay with the wheel, just in 15".

definitelly!!!

all mentioned are great and were between my options, but Keystone Klassics win, No matter being heavier.

now thinking on a long shot 17" upgrade

I had Keystone Klassics, loved the looks, hated the rust and uni-lugs. My personal favorite, hands down, is the ARE 200S, which is why they're on my car.

I went from stock 14" steel wheels with wheel covers to 14" Rallyes to 15" cop wheels before finally just spending the money and getting what I should have gotten in the first place.

I'm thinking of going with 5 spoke 17"s on mine or old school drag style rims.

Those wheels are off a mid '70s Mopar like the Imperials, Cordobas, LeBarrons and stuff.
