Pushed down on my parking brake this afternoon so I could check my reverse lights. After I checked and they worked I went to release the parking brake and could not find the handle. Got my flashlight and seen it bent all the way down to the park brake pedal. My stupid foot caught the t handle and pushed it down with the park brake. I was able to bend it back up but it still needs tweaked to get it right again. Doh moments, don't ya just love them.

Easy enough to replace it ... I did mine on the field at Carlisle if you remember.

Bob, I can beat that. Last week I started off Monday with this 10 minutes into the day. Couldn't get the lid off a cup of paint so I smacked it with a rubber hammer. In retrospect, what did I think it was gonna do? Looked like I slaughtered a pig on my mixing table. At least yours was fixable. As I get older these moments seem to happen more and more...

Eeek, that was messy.
Bob ... it's a good thing someone remembers what I did. Yeah it was the hood release. However when I purchased mu 73 my brake release lever was all bent to heck. I found an entire assembly from another 73 but decided to simply try to straighten it first. It is riveted in there but can be drilled and simply put a nut and bolt. I was able to get a piece of wood in there when the kick panel was off and pound on it and use pliers to get it straight. It works so you know what I say .... if it ain't broke ...

Oooo! OUCH!...Looks like it was RED paint too!... $$$$ Yeah and I had 2 more parts to paint with it so i scooped it up with a spray out card and dumped it back in the can. Then I had to strain it to use it. Somedays you shoulda just stayed home and baked cookies.
