I have alternator belts squeaking so I took them off to go get new ones but these belts look fine. There are no cracks or anything visible to indicate they are bad. What causes a belt to start squeaking, is because its dry or what? I hate buying something I don't need. I tried spraying belt conditioner on them but it didn't help so my question is why are they squeaking but show little ware? And they were tight by the way.

Hmmm...I don't know that I can point at anything specific, other than to say, Check Everything.
From the FSM, check belt tension, belt excessively glazed or worn, dirt and paint imbedded in belt, non-uniform belt, mis-aligned pulleys, non-uniform groove or eccentric pulley, broken cord in belt, dual belts not matched.
I have a Gates V-belt guide, but cannot attach it. I can email it to you if you'd like. Send me a PM.
