Just wondering if anyone has used this means of cleaning up the body shell? I have heard good and bad. Did they use acid or other solutions? Did the solution leach out later? Did it flash rust? What does it cost and where are these services available? I live in southern Mo but am willing to haul a reasonable distance. Thanks in advance

Had my done at American Metal Cleaning in Toledo, Ohio. They did a great job and their process was to severe blow drying after the car\parts are dipped and then baked. They then sprayed a etching chemical on all so as not to rust. Car was painted 4 years ago and nothing has leaked yet.

Many years ago, I used Aircraft Paint Remover on the engine compartment of my Charger. It had been spray bomber in flat black a couple of times, and there was run underneith. I wanted to get back to bare factory steel. AmazonIt worked. But it's NASTY. It did flash rust right after. Took several coats. It's one way to do it, but I can't say that I would recommend it. Today I'd have it media blasted.

I used it for my two front fenders, they advised me to hose it down after the process. I then dried the fenders with a heat gun, but I did have some flash rust. I then epoxy primed them. The dipping got into places I would have never been able to. Love how clean and rust free they looked. Second: Last:
