Nacho, can you use extra stuff like toilet paper and shampoo to trade? My wife usually gets these things cheap and we have more of things like this than we need. Can you use other non food things to trade? I closed down my small engine shop and have alot of good used and new parts in boxes.

Yes, we can use stuff to trade, BUT, toilet paper gets lot of room for the "trading value", so the shipping could be killer.
Get engine parts to trade? Dunno really, depending what parts could be.

To be clear, l meant small engine as in 3-20 HP Tecumseh & Briggs/Stratton engines (think lawnmowers) not "small/little" engine shop.
Yeah toilet paper would take up alot of room. I was mainly thinking soap, shampoo, toothpaste and such.

My son suggested I send you a handgun for self defense. He had a lot of suggestions. Maybe some good, some bad. I finally got sick of his criticisms of my shopping and told him to buy whatever he wanted (with his own money) , box it up...and we would ship it. He agreed. So prepare for protein powder and a bunch of candy. He does a lot of remote hiking and backpacking. So, all he thinks about is the caloric density of food. Small bits of food with a lot of calories.

I'd love that but I don't have then permission to have guns. Plus won't be allowed to be shipped.
We had at home a 9 mm handgun sometime ago and my mother made to my dad sell it.
About the rest. Anything is good. Maybe some are more priorities than others but I can't reject anything. Really kind from him.
I think from the list will be nice to get more powdered milk, cooking oil, macarroni/spaguetti, powdered chocolat, cereals, oats, lentils and chickpeas, some ketchup, mayonaise, some other kind of sauces for salads and meat. Some weath leavening flour... Any canned food ( not vegetables and fruits, they are available fresh down here ) regular butter, Anything else from the list still will be nice really, but definitelly not more toilet paper.
Some dishes soap and powder clothes soap too.( I'm taking what 71se3834v is offering too )
BUT PLEASE NOT FROM YOU TOM! You have got enough.

I bought the cheap low fat powdered milk. My mom used to buy it when I was a kid. (single parent Mom with 4 boys to raise) Back then, I thought it was pretty nasty. But it was OK on cereal. Not so good for drinking. (Thank goodness, when she remarried, my stepfather would buy gallons of regular whole milk.)
After I bought it....my son told me I should have bought NIDO Whole milk powder. I think its a Mexican branded product? My son tells me it tastes a lot better. Just thought I'd throw that out there if anyone else decided to send more powdered milk.

Yes, we know Nido... is a Nestle product made in several countries. I think last time we saw it somewhere was 8 months ago, and made specific for babies. Yes, whole milk tastes better, but under circunstancies, doesn't really matter at this moment. We used to have LOCAL GREAT QUALITY PRODUCTS... but... used to have ( past tense ) not anymore.

A few possible suggestions and thoughts for those who choose to do this. You might think about ordering products online at Amazon or Walmart and have it sent directly to Nacho's shipper. Many times those places have free shipping. If you buy locally and ship it yourself, the shipping charges add up fast. Many times equaling or exceeding what you paid for the items. Those packages with flour, rice, beans, etc etc get heavy real fast.
In the future, probably in early-mid May......I plan to take a "business trip" to Florida and also drop off a load at the shipper. I'd rather spend money on products that Nacho and his family can use, than enrich the Post Office/fed-ex/UPS For those who do ship directly to the shipper....looking online, it seems to me that Fed-ex ground has the best rates.
