Second the on the replacement is the contact portion is not as high
I have a brand new that would not work with a aftermarket wheel

Thanks for the heads up fellas...
Im using the original steering wheel do I shouldn't have the same issue. Correct?
I have a dremel and Im willing to use it . Hopefully they fixed the fitment issue on later harnesses.

That switch worked for me, but I was using a Tuff wheel. I did have to cut it for proper T/S arm engagement

A friend of mine got that same switch on his 73 and is working nicely... tuff wheel, no mods

The only detail we found in the unit he got, is the blue and white wires riveted reversed at switch. We found it because when installed the system didn't work, so whe have to trace wire by wire comparing with original switch untill found that. Another friend got the same switch on same days and compared both new replacements and confirmed that. So turned around those and done!

Nacho, did you cut/splice the wires or just swap them in the connector?

Since you mentioned this I compared and traced the wires side by side. Since the wire colors are different i made sure i traced them in order. Each went to the same terminal location on the switch. Both new and old. So my new turn signal switch doesnt have a factory defect/mistake that yours did. Few! The only differences I can see from old to new is the center of the switch . Its a different pattern. The new one has extra notches, possibly for other applications.
