Question- what year PB hood are they going to make? 72, 73, or 74?
Answer- none of the above. They made a PB hood with 71 style cowl vents. A hood that never existed. LOL
I guess I could fill in a couple vents and have a 72 look alike

Looks to me that AMD is only making the Ramcharger hood and scoop. ($1000)
That is great.....but I am not ordering the low quality Chinesium pieces/parts from PG Classic to finish the hood
I was hoping AMD would make actuators and other under hood pieces for Ramcharger

If this is all they are gonna make, I don't think they will be selling to many

I think the PB hood with 71 style vents should sell fine.
I understand that they had to choose something. I am just tickled/amused that they chose something that was never offered by the factory.
But in theory.....if people want "more correct" year specific PB hoods, they can fill in some or all of the cowl vent holes.
I have not totally eliminated the idea of buying a Ramcharger hood.
BUT....I am thinking about making the Ramcharger scoop electrically actuated as opposed to Vacuum.
My son is telling me that it would be easy to do, with a linear actuator.
AKCharger had real bad luck with the PG Classic vacuum actuators. If I recall correctly, after multiple failures on the PG part.... he ended up buying a 45 year old used part. PG's customer service, or lack thereof, makes purchasing from them risky in my opinion.

Tom If you buy the ram charger hood it would be correct for the 72 You would not have fill in any silly two or three vent openings Just pull the trigger Be first in line

But I am not going to finish it off with PG Classic parts that don't work.
High levels of Chinesium in their parts are known to cause premature failure.

As far as I know the air box is fine the brackets work Hoses don't have leak the air blade works vacuum tanks are a 100 dollar dream or cheaper Air cleaner functions don't know if it is the same gauge metal mine is very stout switches I have heard problems along with the actuator So the only thing left is a handle off a defroster you need You only have find a couple of things PULL THE TRIGGER I spent a lot more than that finding original stuff Besides you won't have to ask your wife if it's ok to bring it to bed with you
