Man you guys must have some real Yahoo's working . We get Ups and FedEx practically every other day at work with few problems. Most of the time it's an improperly packed box that causes problems like one heavy item in with others and little inner packing for support.

Never had a package delivered here that wasn't damaged in some way. Improperly packaged or not there is no need for a box to be crushed. And folding a fender in half ... that is just criminal! I wish there were a way to post the picture.

Most of the time it's an improperly packed box that causes problems like one heavy item in with others and little inner packing for support.I did have that experience last year. Two freshly powered coated brake calipers in the same box....with a half box of packing peanuts. You know the first time the box was moved, those calipers pushed through the loose peanuts, and started beating on each other. Fresh bright red powder coat looked like it had been shot with a shotgun...dozens of chips on each one. Of course, they were fresh rebuilds, which does me no good now, as they will have to be stripped to be re-coated.

A shame about those calipers. Hope they made good on them. Yes, bad packing and choice of box by Classic. Than comes the box crushing UPS. Even diagonally it barely fits the Box. Update.....Classic didnt call me back about the damaged wipers I had to call them. The good news is that I'm very happy with how they handled it. They are sending me a new pair of wipers and told me to keep the the damaged wipers. One of the wipers was NOT damaged and I performed some surgery on the damaged wiper. I was able to make it functional. So ill have a spare set for the future.

Had a shipping & receiving guy tell me years ago, "If you pick up a package and shake it and you feel ANYTHING moving, it ain't packed properly!" I always keep that in mind when sending stuff and have never had a problem... unless it's going to Tom's UPS guy who loves his forklift! EVERY damaged shipment I've ever received has failed this test. Often FedEx, UPS & USPS get blamed when the real fault lies with the person who packed the box.

I got a UPS package today with a radio delete rallye dash bezel inside.....from Canada I was happily surprised that it is not broken, despite a minimal packing job.

Glad they are replacing them brigond.
I got half my money back. Not sure if I'll strip them and start over, or try and touch them up with a matching caliper paint. They will be behind a fine lace wheel, so they are not too super visible.

They'll probably see some wear and tear anyway. I'd give them a quick coat of something like engine paint and call it a day. As far as UPS, my final thought on the subject is simply, there is no excuse, packed correctly or not for them to treat packages they way they do. Dave, I will send you the pic of the folded fender from AMD and hopefully you can post it. Bob
