I was hoping he had tips on how to fix them. I have 3 sets all bad especially on the driver side where I have to push the hood down after closing.

Why is it always the drivers side? Me too. And why do I see so many pass side front corners sticking up higher than the fender? Tried to adjust mine to no avail.

They are a pain in the butt. My hood on the driver side needs just a little bit of a push to be flush with the fender when closing.

Honestly, that video is kind of useless. That'a a nice cosmetic restoration, not a rebuild.
I did a little of "searching" and from what I can tell, you basically need to pull the old rivets, ream the holes oversize, and install new oversized rivets. This would be the "right way" to repair
Of course new oversized rivets are not available.....I read about some folks who own their own lathes.... making their own.
I see a lot of "restored' ones on eBay. I seriously doubt they have oversized rivets installed.
At best....there is probably some other half azzed repair method used on them.

Good link Tom. Thanks. And ...he's working with a pair of hinges that are in pretty good shape overall, except for one loose rivet. But I found the use of a wire to pull the spring clever (I would not have thought of it), and the info. on plating interesting too.

They all need that extra push on the drivers side! My first Charger, 1971 SE which I bought in 1975 (my first car), also started to do that in the early 1980's. 3rd gens that I have seen, suffer the same ailment.
