Question of the Week: What is your automotive New Year’s resolution?
From Hagerty...
"As the taillights of 2018 begin to fade into the distance, all eyes are on 2019. New Year’s resolutions come in all shapes and sizes, some slightly more gearhead-focused than others. If you own a set of fun-to-drive wheels, it’s the time of year to think about your plans with that car for the coming year—and we want to know what’s on the horizon.
Whether you want to make significant progress on that nagging project that has been sitting on the back-burner for weeks (or months, or years), or maybe take a finished car out on the road more. Finally going to that show or tour you’ve been eyeing for a few years would be a good one too. Be it a big epic road trip or just a drive down the street, let us know what you are planning to do this year..."
For myself, there is likely to be no progress on my Charger this year. If I wanted to list a "stretch" goal for my Charger this year, it would be to get the rolling chassis moved here. But that's not likely. No space.
Best thing that could happen for all of my cars would be to make some progress on the back garage, and get it turned into a real workshop. That means electric, insulation, drywall, lighting, stairs, etc. etc. etc. I'm hopeful that at least some part of that can get done this coming year.
As for car stuff, the Trans Am is the only runner right now, and 2019 is the 50th anniv. of the Trans Am. So there are a couple of special events I'd like to get to.
How about you?

It's going to sound kind of cynical....but my first and only Mopar goal is to get rid of my 72 Satellite.
Once that's done......I wouldn't mind maybe getting a drive train in the last charger I bought.
Make it capable of moving under its own power.

I have a long list of stuff to do. The main one is to take care of the possible vapor lock and then to have the A/C and heat redone. Already have the a/c kit. Since I'm gonna have surgery in a couple of hours for what's called an umbilical tear, I won't be doing to much this winter at least until March. Oh well.....

Vapor lock is no fun at all.
Neither is surgery. Good luck with that Hank.

Been there, had that done 20 some years ago. You should recover quickly. Good luck. As for me and my goals it's to replace the nasty, faded carpet. Since this winter has been so mild I'm gonna start stripping the interior tomorrow. 😁

For me it’s getting the vinyl top done and put on my raised white letters from Treadwear. After that it’s drive it all I can before I get too old to enjoy it. 😁. May you all have a blest year my friends!!!

Decide upon which new distributor to purchase and install in my 1971 440 (Nov 1970 440 MGM/cammed) with stock electronic ignition. I'd like to stay as close to stock as possible and not have to drive around with a 1/2 wrench in my glove box. Any suggestions?
