Where is the thermal time delay for the key light located? My light doesn't work, so I was going to check the time delay but haven't found it yet. I guess it could be missing, but then I figure I'm just not looking in the right spot.

Looks like an old florescent light starter from back in the day. Mine was/is around my steering column.

Okay, so I found the connector above the radio... just no delay plugged into it. Damn! And those puppies aren't cheap!
Originally, were the thermal delays secured in place... kinda like flashers are secured in their little metal clips? I was wondering if I might find it secured in place above the radio... but just unplugged. I doubt I'll be THAT lucky, but then, you never know.
I think I will be removing the radio soon anyway. I'm not getting any kind of current at the rear speaker for the radio OR the cassette, so I plan to remove the radio and check the output transistor for that channel. Currently, on the front speaker plays. The power transistor should be easy to change. While the radio is out, I'll be able to see better up in there and snoop around for the thermal delay.

From my favorite search engine, DuckDuckGo: Mopar Ignition Light Timer, this thread... For A-Bodies OnlyIn it, per Dan Stern, lighting guru, the A-body uses PN2889565. For A-Bodies Only post 860647A quick DuckDuckGo search for that part number shows them in stock at Summit Raving for $9.99. SUMMIT RACINGPicture looks right. And with her more modest resources Vs. other Big 3 auto makers, Ma Mopar was famous for using the same part across car lines, when practical. But check around and make sure that will work for you.

Hey that's far better than the 150 dollar price tag I saw the other day when I first started looking for these! Thanks for pointing that out!

It's a deal if it's the right part, and it would appear to me to be just that.
Glad I could help.
