This seems to be the correct one for 71 small block ( althought also could be 72 ) Single ballast and points setup wiper washer wire to the front of engine
just wondering about the NSS harness conector plug It got 3 wires. Which ones are there?
Solid Black, Black traced white and brown traced yellow ( that would make it 72 ) OR Solid black, Black traced white and green ?... green could be Blower
Then checking with detail the first pic I see a harness spreaded into both conectors ( NSS/Transmission and Engine ) so thats would be definitelly the A/C harness, arriving a blue wire to engine harness and the green one to the NSS/Transmision conector. Female terminal on the middle of the way with green wire to feed blower AND the end of harness cut, which should get the A/C gas safety pressure switch, then the compressor clutch, both blue.
Its weird because as far I know on 71 this both wires should get the NSS/Transmission harness plug. Share the A/C harness wires between both plugs its a 72/73 thing.
Something to check on back of your bulkhead.
Having a 74 forward light harness you MUST check the back of bulkhead wiring anyway to be sure they will match.

I'll have to check my nss later on today. As far as the a/c my car is non-a/c... can I just take off that part of the harness?? Without it causing problems.

So it looks like the nss plug has been cut off the harness. But the wires are brown traced yellow, solid black, black traced blue or violet..?

New NSS harness replacements are available I think on $40 rate or at least that's what I paid on Carlisle Chrysler all nationals back in 2008 ( actually paid something like $30 ), and new plugs are available too on $10-15 rate at parts shops and ebay. IMHO for the price difference I would get the full harness with fresh non dryed wires. This is one exception I'm agreed on pay for the harness. This harness really gets damaged underneatn the car due the exhaust and road heat.
Both black wires ( traced and solid ) are for the back up light. They can be used reversed, but originally the solid one is the source from fuse box and traced is the wire to feed the bulbs. NSS plug replacemens are available on same color codes and also on Black/brown traced yellow/violet which is a later color configuration.
Brown traced is the ground signal to the relay just in P or N
Yes you can remove the AC wires, but I guess you still got heater, right ? green wire for blower is the same and on same location, so you can unwrapp it to remove blue wires and just use the green wire to still feed the blower.
