The kit I received had what appears to be some wrong parts and 2 damaged hard plastic, spring loaded hood wedges. I spoke to the owner who is a really nice guy. He is sending me replacements for the damaged parts and 2 rubber hood bumpers that was not correct for a 71. He said the kit was an outsider source.

Here is his message to me. He is a stand up guy.
I'll send 2 correct hood bumpers too. Like I said I hate selling other companies products. They aren't even car people so they don't care. I'm having our own spring loaded wedges made. Also duplicating all the Mopar body bumpers from NOS samples. What year is your car? 71?

Found a couple of locations for the 4 small rubber bumpers. In the ashtray and the glove box.

I'm not sure about this one but it looks to belong to the Emergency brake. The problem is that there is a thick block of rubber where the brake arm lands on. The new part doesn't have the block of rubber. It may also be wrong..

I'm glad Jim is making things right for you.
What were the plastic spring loaded things supposed to be for?

The very rear portion of the engine next to the hood springs. I'm not sure what they could do against a massive hood but its likely more of a guide

They are listed as vibration/anti rattlle Wow, thanks brigond! I am FAR from a know-it-all where ANYTHING is concerned, and that certainly includes 3rd gen. Chargers. Many here know a lot more than I. But I must say I didn't think there were too many parts of one of these cars that I didn't even know existed! Problem for me is two owners prior to me, Dave C. removed the rusty original fenders and bought the last 2 NOS fenders in the St. Louis parts distribution center. The good news is I have those fenders, the bad news is pieces like this...I had no idea they even existed.
