Has anyone purchased this kit from Performance Car Graphics? Plastic Sheet Moisture BarriersI have seen various threads about making your own barriers. I was going to purchase this kit - With Putty Ribbons and Tape: $65.00 ($86.64 Canadian) a set. But when I saw the shipping at $59 I exited the site.

Is an easy job... just get the tape/glue on door, attach the plastic layer, cut the excess and make the required cut outs.

So I dug up some of my old ones, looks like I am missing the door sheets. Have this plastic that my hood bulge blackout decal was shipped in plus some other similar plastic that parts were sent in. I think it will be perfect.

But when I saw the shipping at $59 I exited the site. Yeah shipping was less for two front brake rotors from Rockauto.

Tape certainly works. Some vehicles (newer I think) use a bead of this sort of strip caulk (we used to call it dum-dum at the dealership). I picked this box up at Autozone.

That's the ribbon used for windshields.. too thick for the door barriers IMHO.
Another one can be used, the one used for plumbling... gray colored. That's the one I used for the A/C fiber glass box between both halfs. Is easier to manipulate, just like childrens clay and not too sticky, so easier to correct the plastic sheet position before the definitve attaching. The ribbon sealer is really sticky.
I think the one used on plumbing is the one used for these plastic barriers I think... if not, is pretty much similar.
