Please keep the politics out. I know its hard but you can do it. For me, looks like I'll be going to fewer events this season thanks to the cost of gas these days. What's a shame is that most of the events I go to are related to helping out the Veterans. I always donate an extra $50 for this cause. Already have passed on 2 events and have attended only 1 so far. Somewhat bummed out

Well let me put it this way. I haven't even driven the Charger yet this year. Fired it up 6 wks or so ago but that's it. I have driven my other classic home from storage and started some work on it in anticipation of driving it to Frankenmuth later this year. It's a combination of the cost and not wanting to put any effort in to get it out. The Downriver cruise is coming up in a couple weeks so I'm sure I'll make it to that one.

If I have to drive, will do, but trying to not.
Europe is even worst than USA with a price around US$2 to 2.2 per liter ( allmost US$9 a gall), and I'm driving here a 98 Range Rover ( P38 ) equipped with BWM 2.5 diesel engine. It drinks a lot of fuel being a heavy SUV.
Spanish goverment is subsidizing 0.20 € per liter, but still is too much.

Going to shows but not doing the cruising I used to. Only going to Moparfest this year with our Stratus R/T, Not Carlisle but we had registered our 2018 300S. May as well save a little gas and ride in comfort. I have had the cars there every year since 04. The couple year break was nice actually.

It hasn't stopped me from enjoying my cars and trucks, though filling up isn't quite as fun as it once was!
We have not yet taken the motorhome out, but that's because we've just been too busy. Feeding the Ford V10 at 8-9 MPG and a 50+ gallon tank is gonna be painful. But there's a lot of money tied up in that coach. I'm not going to let fuel prices stop me from getting out and enjoying it. We might trim a few travel miles off, choosing a few closer locations to use the coach. But we generally don't go to far anyhow.
Ditto the Trans Am National in August. I tow the car to that one with the van, again at maybe 10 MPG. But I haven't been to that show for a couple of years, and we booked it before the current situation came about.

In my neck of the woods here in Canada we are paying 2.09 liter or $6.28 US a gallon. I'm okay because I have worked from home the last two years and don't drive a heck of a lot and save money by not having to take the train to work.

Since i drive not so far and we have shorter distances to travel,it doesen't affects me much at the moment. i think and hope this situation will be over until the next year.. its funny how the gas prices around the world seems to equalize. i have heard in california they pay almost the amount we do..

The Costco gas I normally buy is $6.29/gal today so our gasoline vehicles have been parked for weeks now. The Tesla Model 3 is sure racking up the miles though. Just did a 4000+ mile road trip in it over the Memorial Day weekend and even the cost of charging at the superchargers has gone up significantly. Skipped the local Mopar Alley show this last weekend. :-(

My commute to work is costing me 1,100 a month in gas and tolls. I retire after more than 30 years in the subway. It will be great to save daily expense. I have been cutting back on various things in life. My Charger has also been sitting. It doesn't mean I'm not enjoying it as it sits though. Just looking at it brings joy. Actually I need to get that old gas out of it by giving it a good run. Gas is not the only thing choking many people out. Below are two screen shots of a text between my sister and wife. The supermarket bills have also been a bit pricey. We started canning foods other than our yearly batch of tomato sauce grown from our garden.
