It sort of depends on what you mean by "best", PJ. If you mean pricewise, probably searching through Ebay might be your best option. If you mean strictly quality, I would think one of the "names" like Legendary or Year One would be the way to go, simply because of the fact that they are concerned with maintaining a good rep. I have a black carpet for a 71-78 B body from Trim Parts on Ebay....it is unused and still in the box the vendor sent it in--unopened. I acquired it from a member here--Firecharger--for 100 bucks plus shipping, back when I thought I was going to change the interior of the blue car to black. I am no longer going that route, and if--after researching other options--you decide you'd like to buy it, I'll sell it to you for what I paid for it....(100 plus shipping). Here's a shot of the label: As you can see, it's what's known as 80/20 loop, molded. Let me know...it's in my parts closet in the spare bedroom...it's not going anywhere. Jer.

Thanks Jer, but I am needing blue carpet. I bought carpet 11 yrs ago; never took it out of the box until last week when I got ready to install it. I found out that it was a lighter shade of blue than what the original was. The original carpet has a tag which states B6 blue so now I'm trying to find that shade. If anyone out there needs a blue carpet (bright blue) they can have it for $100.00 + shipping.

I had ACC in my '71 but the front was ruined by a brake fluid leak. I bought just a front half from J.C. Whitney and, honestly, it was a lot nicer than the ACC carpet. I don't know if they'd have your color though. I just went with basic black.

I think we're in the same boat, as my interior code is E6B5, which means my trim color is also medium blue (B5 code). I DO think yours would look exceptionally good with a black carpet, though!

Matt Matt...mine was around 23 bucks to get shipped out here from a private residence to my private residence (California) in January. No idea what the vendors are now charging for shipping, probably less. I don't even remember where Firecharger lives now, so I can't tell you where the shipping origin was for my carpet....I'll check and see if I left the label on the box.

Jer....How close is the carpet set you got , compared to Factory?....is it a two piece carpet Front/Back....or 1 piece...what was the factory?....Who is the supplier of your set? Is the Loop 80/20 same as factory?........If it is pretty close to a factory reproduction I am very interested in it...I will PM u my address if you can estimate shipping?...or u can (when u have time) get me dimensions and your address so I can get a quote... Thanks Jer ...if someone else is already made a deal...no problem, first come first served... It will Probably sit in my Closet for a few years also....but it may enjoy a change of Climate!....Here in Ontario the temps are in the 70's dropping to 40's at night....but it's great working on the car weather! Sorry to Hijack this thread!
Sorry for all the questions but I would like to get as close a match to factory as possible

Hey Jer,
Black carpet may look good, but I'm wanting to stick with the same carpet. I talked to Legendary and they said to send them a pc. of the original carpet for a better match.
