I'm anxious to see how my Lions can do this year. Tough schedule to open the season. And that Thursday night game while I'm in Frankenmuth...that's going to be a very tough game 1.

Oh Nacho, you poor confused boy. Obviously your Tour of America did not have a long-lasting impact on you.

You're bi-lingual Nacho. You can do it if you try! Football strategy. Final score, 35-17. Soccer strategy. Final score, 0-1.

That time of the year! I have to admit my enthusiasm for the game has waned quite a bit over the last 5 years. I used to watch football all Sunday, play in multiple fantasy football leagues, and try to attend at least one game a year. Also paid for the Sunday ticket from DirecTv to have access to all of the Steelers games.
These days, I watch if I am at home.....but don't stay home just to watch the games. No more Sunday ticket....too expensive
Now on Sundays I try to fish if the weather permits.
Anyway...it looks like half of the Packers have migrated to New York. That's kind of hilarious. I think my Steelers have a pretty solid team. They seem to have shored up most of their deficiencies. How far they go will probably be determined by the play of their second year quarterback. It's fair to say that they have the worst (or least established) quarterback in their division.
I see Dave's Lions are getting a lot of love this year. It would be nice to see them make the playoffs.

I hear ya Tom. I've always watched the Lions when they are on TV, or listened on the radio while in the shop (my favorite really). Never went in for the paid access, and haven't been to a game in person in quite a while. My brother had the Ticket, but gave it up last year also.
I think we (the Lions) have a very realistic shot at a wildcard spot. Those being what they are (a team that just squeaked into the playoffs Vs a top rated team), I'm not sure if we get that much coveted first-playoff-win-of-the-superbowl-era or not. Hope so. Now if we win the division, that's another story. You get a much more balanced match-up perhaps.
I love my Lions, and have a great deal of faith in this current regime. But I'm not ready to write off the Packers until I see how Jordan Love plays, and I am anxious to see if the Vikings can repeat (or improve on) their 13-4 record of last year. It won't be easy. The Bears probably are not a factor, but we'll see what their QB can do.
