Outstanding! I used to heat a pole barn (about 6 car in size) with no insulation using 2 kero. salamanders...man would the fumes get bad in there..they had to run so much.

I ran 2 55k units, Chris. One I bought new, and still have. It's been a wonderful machine. The other was a "bargain" I bought used, and it never did run right. The nose cone on the good one would be cherry red, the other one not at all. It just sat there converting kero into partially burned, eye watering hydrocarbons. Even at that, the place was so big and so drafty, I could run them all night long before they chased me out.
I'm glad yours is working well for you. They are make all the difference this time of year.

Jer. ill get pics tommorrow, its a 40,000 btu Remmington model, paid a $179 for it at menards, runs on any fuel but gas and propane, but it can run propane with a conversion kit, so really gas is the only thing it wont run. manual says the following #1 and 2 diesel fuel all jet fuels kerosene heating oils low grade ethanol

That's some nice flexability there. Mine is strictly kero.

When I find one, I'm going to try the diesel route... I attended a Thanksgiving under canvas tents one year in Mt. Vernon, Indiana (-4 w/wind chill of -22, snow, sleet, ice outside), and the kerosene heaters nearly did me in!! Not real anxious to repeat that experience. Thanks again, Jer
