Cable fire is also unknown/wrong??? What I meant: When a cable becomes too hot it starts to melt, starts to smoke and so on. That's a cable fire, isn't it?

OK So cablefire is an electrical short circuit! We call it "letting the smoke out" at my work.

I call it "frying a wire" or "melting a wire" or "burning a wire", any of which could result in that dreaded & infamous (for our cars) "electrical fire"....which obviously needs no translation... (merely a fire extinguisher!!) ;D
