OK, I have no clue if there's a difference with the steering arm of the '71 - '72 - '73 - '74 Chargers, but if it helps any, here's my '72 steering shaft coming out of the fire wall and going to the steering gear box (of course before I pulled the steering column, my '72 is floor shift just for reference.

Sorry Tom!!! ;D
Thanks for the picture ......It answered one of my problems, I cannot believe the shaft is open where the end of the column housing ends...I would have thought there would be a bearing...or something?
Now If ya have pictures where the column mounted to the floor!..
Sorry for the HI-Jack Tom

just in case THIS IS HOW EXACTLY IS my setup: I know at least down here some 73 steering couplers won't get directly to the steering box. Instead that the coupler does have a bracket to attach there the thin rubber rag joint, and then another bracket with the spline piece to steering box on mine ( like the yellow pictured ), the rubber rag joint is also the thin one and hidden by a metalic shield

It maybe an A body column, I'll post some pic's of the one that was in my '70 Duster that I had.... Unfortanatly they aren't the best reference, but at the time I didn't think I'd be taking these trying to point out the steering column for reference, Laughing Out Loud Also, this is a automatic column shifted with power steering...
