I started this thread in conjunction with the "Don't know if it matter to anyone..." thread. Wanted to test how the thumbnail link on Photobucket works. What I did was to upload the photos to Photobucket keeping the size to the 800x600 size. Holding the mouse over the photo preview in you account see if the IMG thumb link comes up. If not go to the link options at the bottom of the link preview window and turn on the clickable thumbnail button with the "IMG for bulletin boards & forums" section. This will now give you a IMG thumb link than you can add to you post, helping to keep down post sizes that slow down our forum.
If you don't know how to cut and paste the link here are the steps:
(Have 2 windows sessions open, one for the forum and one to your photobucket account)
In photobucket:
1) Hold cursor over photo preview of image you want to link
2) When link pop-up windows opens go down to IMG thumb link and click with box (should show blue highlight)
3) While highlighted press the Ctrl and c keys (cut)
Switch to forum windows session
4) In body of message where you want the link to appear click message body and wait for blinking vertical cursor to appear
5) Now press Ctrl and v keys (paste)
You link should now be pasted.
As an FYI you can use Ctrl c and Ctrl v to cut and paste in any Windows based program. I use it in word processing, email, autocad and all types of programs, easier to use than chasing the cut and paste tools in the Edit pulldown menus.
These are some test thumbnails of my 1953 Jaguar 3.4L engine that is almost finished and due to go back in my XK120 DHC soon.
Hope this post helps some people out.
