...I have the hide-away headlights and saw one 1972 picture with the "DODGE" on the driver's side eyelid... Oh you must say that!!! ...however I'm not completely sure about 72 dodge badge is the same on standart and hideaways grilles, making difference from 71s Nacho,I didn't remember a "DODGE" being on the grill of my new SE (back in '72), so I did some research and my Interchange Book specifically says, " Part Number 3573458 (Design or Style: DODGE)....USAGE: 1972 Charger, except S.E. or with hideaway headlights."And there is no other grill emblem entry for 1972 SE's....at least not in my book. And here's something else interesting: There is no reference to that arrow emblem being on ANY 1972 Charger roof panel (C pillar). What's up with that?

Hey Nacho you said: SEs... Special edition and Tristar SE instead Charger and arrow instead charger and arrow. Charger badge moved to fender I'm guessing that the Charger badge that you're refering too that moved to the fender must have been an adhesive backed emblem? I have found the holes where the tristar and special edition emblems go on the C pillar, but nothing on fenders/doors ect.... Any pic's so I know what to look for? Also, for those of you interested, in '72 (not sure about others), I've found out that the tristar has plastic insterts, and are not painted, guess what else, the correct plastic insert tristars aren't made, the only ones that are carried, have painted inserts.... So there goes any luck with trying to keep the outside mostly correct, other than wheels/tires, so...

I think Jer could help better on that because he has one SE with those still on place. Remember all the ifo I get is from the web. Those models never were assemblied down here. I have known in fact the 71R/Ts supposelly are pins emblems on fender as some members stated at DC.com, including R/T, but I have seen 71 Fenders coming from R/Ts without pin holes. And DOWN HERE I never have seen one with pins. A friend of mine lost one of them and there were no Holes. Beside that I have seen brochures pics with Charger badges on 72 SEs on place stated by Jer: but some other brochures just right in the middle same about hideaways, I have seen them with and without dodge. The fact is, Tom got 71 hideaways doors pics with holes to dodge badge. About C pillar arrow... I have seen them with and without arrow. Dunno if this differences are model related OR some mid year production change

Since these appear to be adhesive backed emblems for the fenders, and I'm sure placement would be a pain, plus the car is going back to all black, I think I'm gonna leave those emblems off, but the rest I will probably put back on it.

Had to look to be sure. My 72 SE doesn't have the DODGE on the headlight door. It was built in June of 72. Maybe early 72s might have??

here is on a 71: Those are same font and size as 73/74 hood DODGE badge. Anyway, if 72 really does have or not, sure is diff and only one year production, like this standart grille emblem

another pic, with Charger emblem on an SE but IN THE MIDDLE of fender... I don't think unrestored with original paint since in fact, hood is not original but I don't think eiter owner placed different from the original place when he got: and in this case no dodge badge on grille:

Geez Nacho! Those original pics you posted, break the record of the year for size #lol#
So I downsized them a bit for you #Whew#
BTW - That Petty blue SE, if you add front and rear spoilers, and slotted mag wheels, thats pretty much how mine will look when done. #YesNod#
Any more pics of that car?
