So slowly working my way around the car taking car of things to make it street worthy. Got the battery/starter/cables taken care of. Put a rebuilt carb on it. Have new wheels/tires to go on it. The last thing it needs to be road-worthy is a new gas tank, the current one is swiss cheese. Can anyone recommend a vendor for a replacement tank?
1971 Charger base model.
Thanks, Patrick

Rock Auto is where I got mine. Tank was made in Canada, not China.

no I not poked a hole, just a light dent on it a week later since I installed when parking the car in reverse , allmost unnoticeable ;D It was with a pile of wood pallets on a parking place that I didn't noticed by the side mirrors is a GREAT PIECE with just a small detail... the sender ring retainer holder welded on tank is some weak, so the ring needs to me light tapped, not hard. SPECTRUM is the brand. 71/73s are fairly cheap, not the 74s though

Why the price difference between 71-73 to 74? I got unlucky and have the 74 that I am trying to restore on a very limited budget, so any extra costs make me squirm And my current tank is dented, somewhat leaky, and I'm sure is full of dirt and maybe rust, but $400 maybe out of the question. I knew there were some years for around $250, but of course mine would have to cost more lol. I have a 5 gal fuel cell I'll put in the trunk for temporary measures..... -beegle55

Oh and why are Mopar parts more expensive than say, Ford? And better yet, Chevy? Just curious..
