Is it obvious where to cut the hole in the pan or is there some calculations to make in reference to the placement of the transmission. I would assume the same pan was used for the column shifter versus the console shifter and ther would be some removable panel where the console would be positioned if not I wonder what would be the best way to locate the position of the hole in the hump. The parts I've accumulated over the past ten years are for the stock t-shifter and console. 1973dodger A small bracket mounts on the transmission. It has a larger hole to receive the link coming down from the stock shifter mechanism. There should be a bushing in the hole that will anchor the lower end of the link (I used a small piece of garden hose as a bushing ). The hole you cut in the tunnel would be straight above that bracket. The console mounts to some metal tabs welded to the tunnel. I suppose you could rig a suitable substitute once you have the lower part of the console and shifter set in the correct location. I'll try to post a pic of my bare tunnel later. Would anyone have a shop manual picture they could post? Good Luck

Take carpet off your hump and you can see where hole is cut. As far as mounting the consule mounts you need measurement from donor car. there is a kit you can buy on ebay or elswhere for the mounting

Just finished the installation, was'nt too bad. Just had to work out a few bugs, since I was missing a piece of linkage which goes from the transmission to the verticle shaft, which goes thru the floor hump. I was able to make one from the ajustable link used from the old column shifter. Thanks for the helpful clues.
