I lucked into an honest to god corvette in the old lady's barn stories (would have settled for something out of penthouse forum but I guess I did something good in a previous life) when a friend called me to tell me a man died with no family and his storage locker went into forfeiture and there was "one of those cars I like" in it.... turned out to be 1 of 6 (or so my research tells me) 73 SE chargers built with sunroof, rallye windows and dash and a 440 wrapped in plastic packing wrap and 2 dozen boxes of spare parts. since it wasn't "one of those general lee cars" they said they would sell the lot to me before going to auction for 3500....no I'm not bragging..... when something like that happens it must be Devinne intervention and I feel i must go unto the people and spread his glory.
now that I've finished my sermon, my question is, Other than the exhaust B.S, what can I do to make this monster as big a beast as his scat pack older brothers? OTHER than obvious add on performance parts?

well first off these cars are 2tons, so you need to lose some weight, that could be done a million ways but glass bumpers and fenders lose a ton right off the bat, I have one 440 charger and it has 3.91 posi with two holleys atop the 440, I have a ton of money in that beast and it still only runs low 13's so dreams of a fast and furious wheel stand are out of the picture, but a sun roof 440 se, that has to be pretty rare, if it were mine I would go 30 over on the pistons, put in a mild cam and a dual plane intake with a 750 cfm carb and 3.23 to 3.55 gears, you wont be the fastes car on the street but it will move and still get ok mileage so you can afford to drive it once in a while, those are my thoughts

Congrats on the find, and welcome aboard! #WaveHi#
Post a few pictures when you get a chance.
As to the 440...if one of our more educated members does step forward before hand, I'll try to do some checking on the specs when I get home. I know the B engines did not change that much in HP trip through those years, with the exception of lower compression. Often the cams and manifolds were the same.
Is the car running? If so, how is it running? Any ideas on how long it sat? Also, any ideas what the rear axle ratio is?

Sounds like you are a Mopar lotto winner! That fantastic. Can't wait to see pictures. If you have trouble posting pictures you can always access the site through a free app like taptalk. It takes pictures right from your phones gallery.
