Will this site ever have registration for 1971-74 Chargers similar to the 1969 Charger Registry and 1970 Charger Registry??

it's kind of spooky giving out your car's VIN and whereabouts on the internet. You don't know what kind of things people might do with that information. Anyone remember the "Gone in 60 seconds" remake? They found out where the cars were through public search records, etc. Then they knew where to hunt for the cars. A 1971 hemi Cuda got stolen in that movie. My brother in laws' 94 integra with VTEC motor was stolen last year. A rice burner for sure, but it was a blast to drive. It also was a devastating event for my brother in law, who was forced to drop out of college because of this.

Any registration system set up would have to have privacy built in to protect the owners. I've been keeping a private registry on 1972 Rallye Chargers for some time now. I record the VIN, engine, trans, spd, color, and any special info in a spread sheet for easy reference. The cars I've collected were all found on the internet (publicly posted pics, etc.) - never from car shows.
It is a lot of work, but I do for the enjoyment of it. It's interesting to see the various trends in production.

It's all in an Excel Spread Sheet. I have the VIN broken down into 3 seperate fields so I can filter to see any set of cars I need to. I can also filter any of the other fields to see what cars came with specific options. For example, I can tell you I have 4 cars that that came with N96 and N76. Obviously, I don't have all the info for every car, but I use what I can find... I have no owner info at all stored in the spread sheet. It's just something I set up for my own curiosity.

In fact that was my first attemp being mod... but really wasn't succesfull. Jus got around 60-70 cars info and round 80% was simply out of ebay and detailing pics about equipment.

Well, if it didn't have any info that made it a security risk (barring criminals with secretary of state access to run the vin, but once I plate it, that info will be out there anyway), then I'd be willing to throw my info into that sheet. I don't have it here, but I'd give it to you if I did!

Half and half on the registry idea. It would be neat if everyone had access though, and then we could do our own cross-referencing.
