Thinking about buying one with a small enough tip that I can stick it thru spark plug holes into cylinders...and stuff like that. was wondering if anyone has any suggestions. preferably something less expensive than Snap-On

I work in the audio/video industry (tv, phone, security, stereo, surround sound, network, etc) and one of the supply houses that I buy materials from sells two different types of the scopey things I think you are talking about. One has a little viewing screen and the other is just a camera that you can plug into any existing video monitor, that way you can run a wire and see your cylinders on the big screen. I have to go there in the morning and would be happy to check prices if you would like.

Thanks Mike! That is exactly what I am looking for if the tip size is small enough. I have to do more research on what tip size would be appropriate. One of my probable uses would be on Ford products with 5.4 L and the ill conceived 2 piece spark plugs. Those are a smaller than normal diameter.
I found a ton of them on eBay , mostly being sold from Hong Kong.... Harbor Freight even has a $79 unit, with 2.4 inch LCD display that gets good reviews...but I think the 10 mm tip is too big.

It looks like the kind of tool thats fun to use. Yeah.... . I have a car at work that I have been working on..... A Taurus 3.0 with a #5 miss. I can see where "something" is fouling the plug, pretty sure it is coolant. I suspected a blown head gasket and did a "block test" that did not reveal anything. I'd like to take the plug out....insert the camera, then pressurize the cooling system and see if I can visually see coolant seeping into the chamber. The owner had new heads put on the car 2 years ago...so I really want to get the diagnosis 100% right. I figure it should also come in handy looking for evap core leaks, particularly when used in conjunction with the UV dye I always use when charging an A/C system.

The only drawback that I see is the tiny video screen, but that is easily fixed because that unit has a video output connector that you can plug into a larger tv (any tv with a video input)
It looks like a nice unit, let us know how you like it after you have time to play with it.

I think I can run the video to a laptop? My son has an old crappy laptop he keeps at our job to listen to music with. It might come in handy for that. As long as I don't have to listen to his music.
