Gull Wings are correct for 1971 (maybe 1972 too? I dont know)... but they are the only ones I like. The Go Wing is for the 1970 cars. There are big differences between the two, and I dont care for the Go Wing at all (even on the 1970s). I'm going to try an not be offensive to anyone here but.........the Mustang wings just look kind of "cheap" to me. They seem to be the kind of wing guys use because they can't afford a Gull Wing. Sorry guys - just my opinion. I could have bought the Go wing (Mustang style) for a lot, lot less than the Gull wing from First Place auto products, but I thought if I'm going to do it, I'm doing it properly. Peter

I personally don't see enough differences in the two to worry about, for what I would buy one for... I'm an Avowed Non-Purist, and if I'm just putting something on my car because it looks good cruisin', and 98.88 per cent of the people seeing it aren't going to know the difference... I would save the 200 bucks or more difference and buy the Go-Wing...mustang or otherwise...and then use that 200 or 250 for SOMETHING ELSE that I want to put on my car!! ;D But that's just my opinion, and I respect everyone else's opinions and thoughts on the subject...that's what makes the world go 'round!!

The place where I bought mine is at www.fpap.comJer, as i said, I really wasn't trying to denigrate anyone who had one of the other wings - just personal preference. The Mustang type wing just doesn't look right to me. It doesn't seem to suit the shape of the car. The quality and shape/size of the Gull wings just suit the car. ;D peter

I know that Peter, that's why I said "for what I would want one for." Unlike most Non-Purists, I totally respect those that are, and I completely respect other people's opinions... and don't get me wrong for a second...if I EVER get my cars to the point of where I've done EVERYTHING that I need to do to them (I'm thinking about the year 2099), I probably would go back and start replacing all the "Cheapo" stuff I had on them with prime-rate Concourse quality parts!! And that would include buying a 350 dollar Gull Wing to replace the 105 dollar Mustang Go-Wing--which by the way I haven't even bought yet!! Right now, I'm sort of like my fellow Cheapskate Brother, Bob: The cheapest way to get it done, without sacrificing quality. (That's why I wouldn't let him put a patched-up chin spoiler on that beautiful car of his!!) ;D ;D (P.S.: Did you get your Rallye wheels yet?...OOPS...I'll go ask that on your Rallye/RT taillight thread!) Jer.

Jer. G'day again Jer, I am saving up for the Rallt wheels. Would you believe it's actually cheaper to buy the rims here in Australia, but get the trim rings and center caps from the U.S. ? The rims here are $220 each (bare rims, powdercoated), but that's the same price as over there due to postage. Really keen on getting them though, just saving up. I would probably have looked at used, but they just don't pop up that often. I'll be selling my Magnums when I get the rally's. Peter

When I got it I didn't have a clue which one to get or who to get it from. i saw their ad in Mopar Muscle and the thing that sold me on it was that it had all the factory markings and was touted as the best on the market. I wasn't after "dead original", but because I couldn't see one in the flesh down here, i just ordered the best one I could. As it turned out the First place one is really great. Looks fantastic, fitted perfectly and easily. peter
