Those interior panels came out nice. Tom just did his too...very encouraging to see that these originals can be saved.

(Orange car) Decided I had enough of my awful rear view mirror and replaced it with a real nice JY find unit that I recently spruced up...while it was warming up this morning. Then I drove it to work. What a difference! Glad I decided to keep it for myself.
On the downside...I noticed my visors have no rubber tips. So, I went ahead and ordered 3 sets of them.

Got a few different things on the go right now but I did get the rear drums finished. Got the wheel cylinder gasket from DMT, the wheel cylinders from Canadian Tire, riveted brake shoes from Napa and replacement Bendix hardware off eBay. Have to finish up the passengers side Got the front sway bar finished. Used Eastwood Chassis black, Seymour's Stainless steel paint and the bushings are Moog.

Brake system work, new pads, rotors turned; installed alternator. Last couple of days, cleaning up the interior- discarded the roached carpet and headliner. Front bench reeked, so it is out. Back seat cleaned up nicely, as did the interior panel pieces. Will temp install a set of buckets- drilled holes, fabricating the reinforcements. Now trying to get the Ralleye instrument cluster out for cleanup, along with the AM radio. Basically wanting to get rid of the "mouse infested" smells, and other things they leave behind. My plan for this '72, though ugly primer and rusty: Put it on the street, and swap the 318/904 for my 440/727. The 440 has been mostly assembled for 6 years now, waiting for a ready engine compartment to come around. It is about time to put it in something and be able to enjoy it. It has been very enjoyable to work on the '72 the last few days.
