Washed the orange car for another hour and a half. Cleaned the windows and charged up the battery too. Was going to drive it to the gas station to get some fresh gas...but then I realized the sticker on the tag was for 2013. Good thing I thought to look. Can't find the new one that I know I did get last May. Went to pull it back into the backyard....and it ran out of gas. Took a gas can to the corner store and got 5 gallons....started back up and parked it. Now I get to go thru the same frustration on the Satellite. I think the battery in it is bad. Seems like they only last 2-3 years anymore.

Tom, I am assuming you mean the tail ligh lenses. And that is because SE tail lights are that way ... supposed to be. Rallye and hardtop do not have the outline. SE does ... is that what you mean? But naturally the EMBLEMS ARE IN THE WRONG PLACE on this SE ... from another post, sorry!!!

In re-reading your question Tom, you said bezels. They are chrome, and again, should be on an SE.

Bob, I was not referencing any 73-74 tail lights at all. The other Bob is putting 71 R/T, 72 Rallye tail lights on his car. I just wanted to know why he chose to outline the bezels in Silver, rather than doing them all black or tri-color. Here is his picture. Notice the silver outline.

Spring cleaning is done. Yard is cut, raked, bushes trimmed, and the yard ornaments washed. The Satellite was more cooperative. Dropped my spare "parts testing" battery in it, primed it with some ether, and she fired right up. Pulled the cowl screens and vacuumed out all the crud. I must have forgot to do that last year, because there was a lot more than I expected. Went ahead and pressure washed the worst crud off of it. As I was pressure washing it, the clear coat was coming off in sheets.

Bob, I thought the same thing, too. I thought it was just me that didn't understand what Tom was talking about. Reinforces my hopes that I'm NOT starting to get old and senile, yet.

Fiberglass hood that Tom can't see over. So THAT'S why you added the hood...to make it Tom-Theft-Proof!

Tom, your taillights are all black. Is that what they are suppose to be?
