Last Sunday I entered mine into a burnout contest and pulled a second place out of 15 entries not bad for the first time I ever spun the wheels on this car! This wasn't done on your good tires? or cheap throw a ways...

After Wow, that looks great! Whats really weird is that I had the thought 2 or 3 times today while working, that I wondered if you ever got your seat back together? Maybe it's like a heart transplant where we are hooked together in another dimension? Come to think of it, I went to buy a soda today and when the clerk said it was $1.50, I showed her how the label was messed up, how it was 20 degrees warmer than the others and all the dust on the lid and got it for $.69. Seeing the burnout contest brought back memories of doing the same thing in my buddies 72 Charger in the 4 way stop of our small town late at night with the town nightwatchman waving his arms and screaming at us that he was going to turn us in. We would stop in the center, crank the wheels all the way and floor it. Four barrel moaning, 383 screaming out the dual exhaust in front of the tires and the 3:23 Sure Grip making the smoke just roll off the L60 Kelly Super Chargers. The record was 6 complete revolutions but you had to let off of it if it got close to the curb because he was real particular about his aluminum slots. Then we would take off through town laughing so hard our sides ached then turn around and roll through town as slow as we could go playing innocent and watching the nightwatchmen shake his finger at us when we rolled by. Man, you would be charged with vehicular manslaughter if you pulled that today. We usually bought our freedom with a cold 6 pack dropped off to Mont the rent-a-cop before we headed home. Good times.

Just got my speakers back from Jackson Speaker service. Quality work and speedy turnaround! Sent them my original rear speaker and a core front one and they look great. $12.70 to ship and $112.70 to get them back. Not going to thump the Snoop Dog but they will do just fine to scream the Skynard!

Would you mind doing an identical post in interiors (call it "original speaker rebuild" or something similar)?
I would like to have that in a specific place members could reference for speaker renovation in the future, and would be quicker for them than just optimistically looking through this thread.
Don't misunderstand me: I don't want you to delete this post here at all...I'm just asking if you can put another copy over in interiors.
Thanks, I appreciate it, and I know I myself will be glad for the ease of finding it at a later date...I don't have enough left of mine to even call them speakers any more...they're really more like magnetic paperweights, and I wasn't aware there was anybody out there that did a rebuild on them.
Jer.

Will do, no problem. All you need is a frame for Jackson. He has the voice coils and paper cones to redo. The thing I ran into is the reproduction front will work in the Cuda/Chally but not the Charger because of the slight difference in shape. The thing I was picky about is the black on them isn't paint so I did not want him to paint the frames and he didn't. More later.

I just removed a 8 and 3/4 complete rear end with a Sure Grip 4:10 in it from a running rolling chassis that I bought. I'm going to install whichever parts are better than what I allready got and will plug and play into my 71 Charger startin early in the morning when it's cool outside.
As soon as I get enough posts here, I will be listing the 360 and the 727 and whatnot that were also on the chassis that I'm not going to need, right here in the parts for sale section and maybe have my grandson put them on Craigslist later after that, allthough I really dont like the whole Craigslist experience much.
The best part was the cost of only 250 bucks for everything. Not a bad deal, if I do say so myself, but I can't post this without once again thanking 1ol74charger from this forum for his very helpful input and advice. Thanks again, 1ol74 !
