Started to install the updated LED light assemblies into the bumper, but then got sidetracked into doing some restoration work to the bumper instead. I THOUGHT it looked okay until I had the whole thing taken apart...then decided to improve it a bit.

changed bearings on alt... on bearing replacement process BROKE THE BACK HOUSING!!!, nothing important to the function but I hate when something like that does happen.
the cracks are on diodes bank squares frame.
Thanks God I think a Mopar dealer still should have some NOS housings around

CHEMICAL DIPPING IS FOR GIRLY MEN!!!!!!!! I should have powerwashed the bottom of this car before I started tearing into it. Spent a few hours cleaning the gunk and grime out of my empty fenderwell. Tomorrow it's the passenger side. Then maybe, just maybe, I'll feel comfortable enough to put some new stuff back on. Still went at it a couple more hours after these pics were taken. So much for not wanting to remove the fenders. Don't really need to, but only I would know how much crud was up in there and it would . They will definetely have to come off later.

Installed pistons 2,4,6,8 yesterday. I also crown myself the "Slowest Engine Builder" I'm having to work around the attentions of my 5yo grandson who is here for 6 weeks this summer. He stays at his other grandparents house during the day but my wife and I pick him up after work and drop him off the next morning. Just ordered the 440Source Stealth heads (with 10* locks and retainers). Maybe I'll have the long block complete by the time they get here.

Broke my ring compressor when I started on the driver's side pistons. Fortunately, a friend brought his over late this evening so I'll do them first thing in the morning. Already have the ring gaps set and installed so it shouldn't take long. Used the downtime to drive out the spool-type motor mount rubber bushings and painted the metal. I got new inserts from 440source.

Striped the spare Passenger door I had laying in my back yard for the past 13 years.
