Pulled my instrument cluster out and decided to clean it up. should have spent a little more time on it but couldn't. Next thing up in the whole dash assembly itself. and then work on the seats.

Its all back together now. Had to fix the speedo spring because it wasn't keeping it at 0mph lol so works out. Does anyone know what the cross hairs thing on the right hand side on my cluster is or use to be?

Does anyone know what the cross hairs thing on the right hand side on my cluster is or use to be? Cool to see you keeping after it, even in the cold. I think that crosshair is where the clock would be, if so equipped.

The cross hair thing is for a clock too, me thinks. I also have seen a NOS tach that can be bought and put in there. (LOOKING FOR LINK)............ www.yearone.com/serverfiles/fbshopmain2.asp?cat=1Here it is on year one, but I know I saw it somewhere else cheaper.

Almost forgot, took the passenger side fender down to bare metal this eve. Blessed with good metal again, underneath bad hammer/dolly work and tons of putty. This car has prob been in more than a few minor fender benders in it's day due to all these quick on the cheap insurance repairs I keep finding. Does CARFAX go back to 1971?

All of the hood parts are original Chrysler. I plan to buy a reproduction hood seal and vacuum lines. If you wouldn't mind, let us know how those aftermarket parts work. Inquiring minds want to know! #YesNod# DynoDave, It will be a while before I buy them but I will give a report when it happens.
